Trista is a very self assured little girl.  She loves everyone and knows no stranger, human or otherwise.  She will happily attempt to play with the largest of dogs.   Trista is very willing to please and desires to be your constant companion.  We call her Little Miss Tris, and she is quite dainty and delicate in her mannerisms.  She is the tattle tale of the family, always telling on dog or human if she thinks they are being 'naughty'.  She is a hoot.

Trista is a petite little thing at 9.5 inches and 7.5 pounds.  She has a luscious silk coat that flows beautifully.   Trista has a lean, elegant build, straight legs, and beautiful movement. Pictures cannot capture what a beauty she is. Her pedigree has generations of health testing.

Trista is currently working on her Championship, she needs just one more point!
Jewel is our precious gem.  She is a real love and sweetheart.  She is very unassuming and is happy no matter where she is.  If she is not being held, her favorite place to be is perched on the back of the couch where she can see out the front, back, and side windows, in the living room, kitchen, and down the hall to the bedroom and dining room.  From this spot she is queen of her world!

Jewel is a petite package at 9.5 inches and 8.5 pounds. She is a fully certified 'foundation' Havana Silk Dog. Jewel has a perfect almond eye with a beautiful halo of black. Jewel has lovely, lean, straight legs, a proportionate  rise to the rear, elegant neck, and nice forechest.  Her coloring is a lovely Cream and Gold Agouti, which is ever changing.

ERAS True Blue Forget-Me-Not  ~  Trista
Mowgli is a playful boy.   He has a  luscious silk coat that rarely tangles.   He is a very beautiful boy.   He loves to play and snuggle. Mowgli is such a love, always wanting to follow you around and be close, but never underfoot.   He is a very obedient dog.  He loves to go anywhere, camping, for walks, visiting with friends, fishing and even swimming!

These pictures were taken on Virginia Beach after the National's show.  After some long hard days of primping  they got to go have fun in the surf.  What a great time it was!
OTHER LOVES OF OUR LIVES:  Retired or otherwise
Molly -  was our first Havanese.  She is a total love.  She knows no stranger and absolutely loves everyone.  Molly did well in the show ring, though it wasn't her favorite place to be she did her job well.  She won a couple Best of Breed and also had some group placements.  She is now joyfully retired and has moved on to a higher calling, faithful friend and companion as well as therapy dog extrordinaire.
Angel  is Molly's daughter from her first litter.   In her day Angel won several Best of Breed and had numerous group placings, as well as two Best Puppy in Show.  She is quite the show off and really enjoyed the show ring.  Angel is now retired and happily living the life of a princess.  Angel is an eternal puppy, you will rarely find her without a toy in her mouth.  She is also the ultimate love, there is no better snuggler and she is so sensitive, she is keenly aware if anyone is sad or unhappy and finds it absolutely necessary to remedy it with kisses!!!
Keziah - our terrier - is our wanna-be silk dog!  She is always trying to do what the silks do!  She is a bit large to be a lap dog at  20 pounds,  but she sure does try.  Keziah is affectionately known as 'rat dog'.  I think she forgot what her breeding is, she now thinks she is a silk.
Junior, our Aussie is our 'farm' dog, but holds this term loosely since his favorite place to be is in the house!  He does however enjoy going out and herding up the kids, goats or horses as the need arises, but  he much prefers to be with his family.  Junior is wonderful with the puppies and is ever so gentle, I'm not sure if he thinks he is the daddy or if  he thinks the pups need to be herded.  Either way, he LOVES puppies!
Tallee -  our dearly beloved Border Collie mix, lived and loved with us for over 12 years before he succumbed to cancer.  We miss him dearly.  There will never be a dog who can replace him, his value is  immeasurable.  He was a family dog, farm dog,  and protector.  He would herd the children into the yard with such gentleness, yet protect the property from coyotes without hesitation.  He did a wonderful job of training up Junior before he left us.  There are aspects of Juniors personality that will always remind us of Tallee.

Bydand Rolling Thunder at Selah  ~  Harley
Harley is such a sweetheart.  We are soooo happy to have him here.  He is totally 'bombproof' and loves everyone.   It appears he has many cat-like qualities, he can pounce and jump up on things that we stand wondering, how does he do that.  His incredible ability to 'spring' allows him to scale window sills, just to see what is out there!  He is  a never ending bundle of fun and love.

Carrying the Bydand name, Harley is everything you would expect him to be....Harley has excellent structure and temperament.  He is 10.5 inches and 11 pounds, which is a nice moderate size.  Harley has a perfect silk coat, crosier tail, lean bone and is a very handsome boy with a lovely Cuban head.   His pedigree contains generations of fully health tested Champions.  His sire is a multi Best of Breed winner and Westminster Best of Breed winner.

Harley is working on his Championship, he has four majors, he just needs a couple points.

Tehas Miss Jane Marple  ~  Kaili
We are thrilled to welcome Kaili to our home.  She is a beautiful little girl who has a whole lot of love wrapped up inside a little package.  I adore a 'love sponge' and this is exactly what Kaili is.  She is the epitome of a lap dog, always happiest if she is being held.

Kaili has a lovely black brindle coat that is soft and silky.  She sports a perfect crosier tail that flies high when she walks or runs.  She also shows her joy and excitement by wagging her tail just as fast as she can, so much so that her whole body wiggles.  She is simply adorable.

Kaili is just barely 10 inches and 9 pounds. She comes from excellent lines with generations of health tested Champions.  Kaili has a nice lean bone, good angles, stick straight legs, lovely silk coat and perfect temperament.

Kaili is currently working on her Championship.

It is hard to believe, but I am really not that big under this beautiful, thick silk coat!  That is the reason why soaps are needed, so you can see the structure of a dog 'naked'.  A lovely coat can hide good structure just as easily as bad.
Harley really doesn't like wet pictures, it is soooo cold!!  We will try again soon.
